M&E Firearms is pleased to provide storage for firearm(s) in an alarmed and climate-controlled environment. The firearm(s) that we take in for storage must be legally owned and possessed by you, the customer. We have no limit as to the amount of time we will hold firearm(s) in storage, but do require that if you have a change of address or any other contact information during the time that your firearm(s) are in storage, that you inform us of these changes. The fees for storage are $15.00/firearm/month. This includes inspection & remedial cleaning of the firearm(s) annually. You will be invoiced at six-month intervals with the first terms payment due when you bring the firearm(s) in. Each subsequent term will be billed in advance on the anniversary of the date the firearm(s) were initially left with us for storage. If you do not keep your firearm(s) in storage for an entire term, you will NOT be credited for unused time. Failure to pay the storage fees within a 30-day period will result in additional late charges of $5.00 per month. Accrual of unpaid storage fees can result in involuntary confiscation of the firearm(s) by M&E Firearms as compensation for services rendered after a period of six months of non-payment. According to State & Federal law, in order to return firearm(s) that are left with M&E Firearms for storage, the owner must undergo a NICS (National Instant Criminal Background Check) and have a valid NJ FID Card. This means that if you leave your firearm(s) with us as storage for more than 24 hours, the firearm(s) cannot be returned to you without meeting the requirements for the transfer of a firearm in the state where you live. In New Jersey in addition to a NICS, you would need to have a NJ Firearms ID Card (FID) and a valid driver’s license with matching addresses to take possession of your firearm(s). If you live outside of NJ the firearm(s) would be shipped or transported to a firearms dealer of your choice. In the event that the firearm(s) need to be transported or shipped, you will be responsible for any shipping or transportation charges. If you are a resident of NJ, in addition to a NICS, NJ Firearms ID Card and valid driver’s license, you will need to provide us with a Handgun Purchase Permit. Only one handgun per Handgun Purchase Permit can be returned within a thirty-day period. Note that any unpaid fees for storage must be paid before firearm(s) can be returned.
